Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday, Working 08:00 to 16:30 with 30 Min Break (40 Hours Per Week)

Our expertise covers the design and conversion of specialist vehicles, including emergency service units, command & control vehicles, hospitality trailers, and mobile medical units (e.g., breast screening, MRI, CT, cardiac labs, chemotherapy, and retinal clinics). As a close-knit, family-run team, we combine a friendly atmosphere with a fast-paced work environment.

Panel Wirer – The Role:

As a Panel Wirer, you will play a crucial role in assembling and wiring advanced electrical control panels, ensuring high performance and reliability across our range of specialised vehicles. Working closely with our skilled team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the complete production process, including assembly, installation, and thorough testing of each unit to meet our quality standards.

Panel Wirer – Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble electro-mechanical systems to industry standards

- Wire and assemble control panels, switchgear, and power distribution boards (PDBs), IFM panels, and ERBs

- Prepare and crimp cables, cut wire, and handle heavy electrical components

- Accurately interpret wiring diagrams and single-line drawings

- Follow assembly instructions using technical documentation

- Mark out panels, and cut/drill steelwork using power tools as needed

- Carefully handle company assets, tools, and equipment

- Plan and layout back panels and enclosures with precision

- Mount components and route wire bundles neatly to meet industry standards

- Wire relays, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation point-to-point

- Troubleshoot and resolve wiring issues and component malfunctions

- Document and mark-up changes on drawings as needed during fabrication

- Program PLCs when necessary
