Paraplanning Manager - Bristol/Birmingham

Salary up to £65,000 plus excellent benefits package

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and make a significant impact? Join our Paraplanning team and manage Paraplanners support across various Practices, delivering top-notch technical and report writing services to Advisers. As a Paraplanning Manager, you'll also oversee several centralised Paraplanning and technical activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit and Develop: Hire, manage, train, and develop high-calibre Paraplanners within budget and headcount levels to support multiple Advice practices.

  • Onboarding: Train and monitor new employees to ensure their sign-off as competent within agreed timescales.

  • Mentorship: Support, develop, and mentor candidates from the Paraplanning Subs Bench and trainee Paraplanners.

  • Resource Management: Collaborate with other Paraplanning Managers to ensure sufficient resource and technical coverage for all types of report writing.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct first-line checks on the quality of reports, turnaround times, and adherence to processes.

  • Executive Support: Assist the Managing Director in regional/Practice-based activities.

  • Technical Support: Support the Technical Manager, Advice Services, in centralised technical and Paraplanning activities, such as maintaining the Paraplanning Procedures and Intranet.

  • Risk Management: Act as the Paraplanning risk champion and oversee the Paraplanning RCSA.

  • SMCR Delivery: Ensure compliance with all requirements under SMCR.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Paraplanner team to ensure clear communication between Paraplanners and Assistant Paraplanners.
