The Job:This is a lovely, varied role where you will support a payroll of 450 / 500 staff and be responsible for providing high quality pensions administrative and governance support and also monthly payroll variable data submission and reporting requirements. You will work alongside the HR and Finance Teams as well as the company’s payroll and pensions providers.

Operational and day to day responsibilities:

  • General payroll and pension administration.
  • Review new starter, change and leaver information for payroll groups.
  • Calculate the payroll input necessary for variable elements of pay from the instructions provided.
  • Manage miscellaneous deductions.
  • Create data upload tables for import to payroll provider system.
  • Coordinate the monthly data flow submission with the provider of the UK Group Personal Pension

Plan ("the GPPP").

  • Act as key contact with the GPPP provider and payroll provider on issues arising.
  • Management of in-house pensions database for the GPPP and file storage facilities.
  • Reporting and compliance
  • Preparation of monthly starter and leaver reporting and YTD changes.
  • Run reporting suite of payroll reports for the relevant pay groups.
  • Coordinate changes, corrections and access.
  • Management of annual pension contribution change and bonus sacrifice exercises including salary

sacrifice and minimum pay protection rates.

  • Responding to pension queries - e.g. ad hoc pension contribution change requests.
  • Work with external pensions provider on annual GPPP benefit statement exercise - reconciliation and

formatting of data/submission and answering individual data queries.

  • Collate GPPP quarterly pension provider information for presentation and review by the
  • Pensions Oversight Committee.
  • Partner SSC and HR Teams in delivering on time and in full P11D, Employer Related Securities and PSA

annual submission.

  • Proactively work with payroll and pension provider teams on information sharing process.
  • Work with company pension advisors on communicating legislative changes with the HR Community.

The Person:You MUST have at least a solid 2 years of experience in payroll administration as well as working knowledge of pensions.
