Planning - Associate/ Senior Associate

Join a leading commercial law firm renowned for expertise in sectors like housing, local government, health, and social care. We are seeking experienced lawyers to join our client's award-winning Planning Team.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Advise on contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including planning appeals and compulsory purchase.
  • Collaborate closely with partners within the Planning Team and across the firm.
  • Handle negotiations of planning agreements, provide advice on highways and compulsory purchase, and manage planning appeals.
  • Guide on listed building and conservation areas, contaminated land, and defend town green applications.
  • Work with diverse clients including local authorities, developers, and NHS Trusts on development and regeneration projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in planning law, with experience across public and private sectors.
  • Strong in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Excellent communication and professional client interaction skills.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Skilled in drafting and legal analysis.
  • Collaborative, with effective organizational skills.
