Day-to-day of the role:
- Advise on contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including planning appeals and compulsory purchase.
- Collaborate closely with partners within the Planning Team and across the firm.
- Handle negotiations of planning agreements, provide advice on highways and compulsory purchase, and manage planning appeals.
- Guide on listed building and conservation areas, contaminated land, and defend town green applications.
- Work with diverse clients including local authorities, developers, and NHS Trusts on development and regeneration projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in planning law, with experience across public and private sectors.
- Strong in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Excellent communication and professional client interaction skills.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Skilled in drafting and legal analysis.
- Collaborative, with effective organizational skills.
