Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join their preconstruction team. The team are working on infrastructure projects worth over £10m for the next 10 years on behalf of a private client. These projects are based on bespoke contracts derived from NEC contracts and are based in Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Wales and Berkshire etc.

As a Preconstruction Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the preconstruction whilst reporting directly to a Business Unit Director.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):

  • Leading the tender pipeline to ensure tender resources are effectively managed and the business is best positioned to succeed
  • Developing and managing the crm database, working with internal relationship holders to ensure suitable engagement and touch points are achieved
  • Overseeing the capture and development of bid related material such as CV write ups, completed contract write ups, social value write ups and the collation, development and presentation of social and environmental data
  • Managing tender governance and facilitating tender sign off meetings
  • Assisting the estimating team with preparing subcontractor tender packages and managing tender returns
  • Continuing the liaison with the client team throughout the pre-commencement phase to ensure full and appropriate communication and engagement is maintained
  • Ensuring the delivery team are set up for success by managing the handover and assisting in initial contract planning

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Degree-qualified or equivalent

Ideally have worked on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Understanding of preconstruction or bid management

Proven track record of developing and implementing business transformation projects is preferable

Full UK driving licence

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
