We are currently recruiting for a Production Administrator/Batch Officer for our Client based in Avonmouth specilising in production of materials for the construction industry.

This is a full-time opportunity and due to location own transportation is vital.

Pay rate: £12ph for 12 weeks, then min. £30,000pa (DOE) once permanent

Weekly hours: Monday - Friday,

10 hours shifts starting either 6am or 7am depending on your own preference

(Candidates must be flexible to cover occasional night or weekend shifts as needed in case of absences - candidates will be compensated accordingly with overtime and night allowance rates).

Skills and experience required:

  • Knowledge of the production plant / transport
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly desirable: troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to think ahead
  • Hands-on approach
  • Basic computer literacy

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage the weighbridge system to accurately record and track incoming and outgoing vehicles and their loads.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as weight tickets are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all drivers have correct documentation.
  • Communicate with Supervisor/manager and drivers over the phone and face to face.
  • Communicate with drivers and other personnel to provide instructions, answer questions, and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain a polite and professional approach with all customers and inform the production team of the material and tonnage requirements for each load.
  • Distribute final product to bagging machines or bulk (loading lorries) followed by loading using computer program.
  • Assist with minor breakdowns to minimize the downtime.
