Reception SEN LSA

Location: North Somerset (Bristol side)

Working Hours: Wednesday to Friday

Contract: January to February

This role involves working 1:1 with a Reception student with ASD, including personal care (nappies). You will play a critical role in supporting their individual needs in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing tailored learning strategies to engage the student.
  • Supporting personal care, including nappy changing, with dignity and professionalism.
  • Encouraging social interaction and supporting the child’s emotional well-being.
  • Working closely with the classroom teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistent support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or with SEN children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
  • Understanding of ASD and SEN best practices.
