Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading geotechnical and ground engineering specialist who are seeking an enthusiastic geotechnical professional to join their work winning team as a Senior Estimator. The Senior Estimator will be based in either Surrey, North Lanarkshire or Somerset office.

As a Senior Estimator, you will engage with a diverse range of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller ground engineering tasks, each presenting unique challenges that will enhance your problem-solving abilities and offer significant opportunities for growth within the field. Collaborating closely with the Geotechnical preconstruction team, you'll benefit from the support of your colleagues while also enjoying the autonomy to work independently and manage your time effectively.



Senior Estimator Position Overview

  • Take full ownership of opportunities from the initial enquiry stage through to the handover with the delivery team.
  • Collaborate closely with in-house engineering and delivery teams to craft detailed and effective tender proposals.
  • Engage in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) during the early stages of prospective projects.
  • Coordinate design efforts for Design & Build (D&B) contracts.
  • Prepare estimates and develop compelling tender submissions to secure new work.
  • Present geotechnical solutions to potential clients, clearly communicating their value and benefits.

Senior Estimator Position Requirements:

  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in the specialist ground engineering field.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles.
  • Proven experience in estimating packages related to piling, slope stabilization, ground anchoring, or grouting.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with colleagues, prospective clients, external consultants, and other industry professionals.
  • Experience in estimating from first principles.
