JOB DESCRIPTION

CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Steelworks Tekla Designer to be based in Bristol, the successful applicant will take a leading role in the delivery of technical solutions on the HPC & SZC projects throughout its Design & construction.

Location: Bristol, UK.

Type of Contract: Contract inside IR35 (12m+)

Key duties will include:

You be involved in the wide-ranging building related to Civil/Structural Engineering Design activities undertaken by our Site and Office teams, which will include:

  • Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3, ETC-C and internal guidances, under the authority of a senior CAD Lead
  • Liaising with the building layout and Civil teams to coordinate the design,
  • Maintaining QA procedures in delivering the Steel Works design
  • Working with the Steelwork engineers in the preparation of the design drawings/models
  • Reporting progress in team meeting

Requirements:

  • Design office experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
  • Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of 3D tools, and capability to produce high quality 2D drawings. Ideally Tekla, Navisworks.
  • Previous experience in Steel Works design
  • Knows how to deal with the design and layout constraints
