The West of England Sport Trust (Wesport) is a sports charity that is passionate about helping people become more physically active and enjoy the benefits that an active lifestyle can bring. The Charity is The Active Partnership for the West of England. It supports organisations in improving the delivery of sports and physical activity initiatives across the region.


Wesport collaborates with a wide range of organisations, from Sport England and health authorities to small and micro-community groups. They increase opportunities and accessibility for physical activity, creating conditions wherever possible for people to move more.


The Trust is seeking a new role of Strategic Lead for Marketing, Communications, and Insight (SLMCI) to drive organisational growth and achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will broaden Wesports knowledge network and help shape its future.


As SLMCI, your responsibilities Include:


  • Marketing/Communications, Data/Insight
  • Collaborate across the Wesport team to embed impact measurement, evaluation and learning into projects and programmes.
  • Ensure Wesports website, social media and marketing channels continue to develop as they promote the Charitys activities and highlight its impact.


Experience required:


  • You will be an analytical thinker with excellent knowledge of impact measurement and evaluation practices.
  • Be able to collect and interpret high-quality data and use compelling narratives to demonstrate impact.
  • Experience leading insight and evaluation projects and building strong cross-sector relationships.
  • Skilled in communicating key information and organisational achievements through various tools and channels.
