Reed is recruiting on behalf of an independent family-owned company that supplies the catering sector. We are looking for a Telesales Supervisor to lead their South West telesales team, based in Bristol, with responsibilities extending to their Plymouth and Poole depots. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maximising sales performance, ensuring accurate order processing, and driving the upselling and cross-selling of new products.Day to day of the role:
  • Instil a selling culture within the South West Depots, starting with Bristol.
  • Motivate and coach the team to sell new products and surpass monthly sales targets.
  • Manage the call diaries for the South West team.
  • Lead the team to ensure timely order placement before agreed deadlines at Poole, Plymouth, and Bristol depots.
  • Collaborate with depot managers to identify and fill gaps in delivery routes.
  • Maintain and develop a personal call list for the largest accounts.
  • Analyse ‘call stats reports’ and ‘order intake report’ to optimise team efficiency and workload.
  • Provide sales training, customer care coaching, and personal development opportunities for your team.
  • Contribute to management planning with ideas for sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee daily operations to minimise inputting and telesales errors.
  • Manage team absenteeism in line with company policy.
  • Monitor team performance in managing incoming and outgoing orders, and produce relevant reports and KPIs.
  • Support the team with customer queries and escalations.
  • Collect and act upon competitor activity and pricing information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in a telesales leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent sales and customer service capabilities.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of call centre software and reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel to Plymouth and Poole depots as needed.
  • Full UK driving licence (pool car provided or fuel costs covered for personal car use).
