Randstad Tuition Services are seeking tutors inBristolto deliver 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary aged young people. The role is ideal for experienced educators looking for a position that presents new opportunities and the chance to make a difference in a young person's life.

  • Location - Bristol, either in the young person's home or community venue.
  • Position - English, Maths and ScienceTutor
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Full-time/part-time - The chance to work as much or as little as you like (up to 40 hours a week)
  • Rate of pay - £25+ per hour

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide support for students to improve their confidence and academic performance.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials according to curriculum requirements.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents where necessary.

What we're looking for in a Tutor

  • Experience working with students with SEMH and/or SEN needs, particularly those who may be disengaged or not attending mainstream education.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in delivering core subjects (Maths, English, or Science) at the secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students and adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess academic sessions that are tailored to the student's level and needs.
  • Is up to date with KCSIE policy and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Must be available for face-to-face tutoring across Bristol (online sessions may be required on occasion).
  • A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and/or a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) are highly desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience tutoring KS1-KS4 students.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for education.
