Validation & Verification Engineer - Bristol
£35,000-£45,000

YT Technologies are working on behalf of a key client who are in a period of rapid growth and are therefore looking for a number of V+V Engineers to join their team. This role is requiring someone to be responsible for the assembly, test and validation of prototypes against customer and internal requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Building an in-depth understanding of the function and operating principles of hydraulic
  • components including our core servo valve and pump technologies.
  • Driving product improvements through deep technical analysis, creating and utilising cutting-edge digital tools and engineering judgement to make decisions.
  • Inspecting, measuring and assembling high precision electrohydraulic devices.
  • Defining, carrying out and reporting tests at the component, sub-system and whole product level.
  • Designing test equipment and supporting components including hydraulic test rigs, fixtures and gauges.


Essential Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. 
  • A strong approach to engineering from first principles to find novel solutions to complex problems. 
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing positive change. 
  • Ability to devise and conduct test procedures, observe physical effects and analyse data to draw meaningful conclusions 
  • Aptitude for mechanical work with hand, power and machine tools. 
  • Experience interpreting 3D CAD, technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • High level of digital literacy with the ability to understand programming logic and use software solutions to their full potential 
  • High levels of personal accountability and ownership, to effectively deliver on challenging and ambitious targets.
