Resourcing Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis to ensure the efficient upkeep and repair of student accommodation facilities in Filton, Bristol.

This role is ideal for someone with technical maintenance skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a customer-centric mindset.

The purpose of the Accommodation Maintenance Technician role is to ensure the efficient upkeep and repair of student accommodation facilities, both internally and externally, by performing a variety of maintenance tasks. This involves carrying out pre-planned and reactive repairs, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that buildings and their systems remain in optimal condition. The role also focuses on delivering high-quality maintenance services to clients, adhering to health and safety regulations, and maintaining the integrity of the accommodations. Ultimately, the technician plays a crucial part in enhancing the living experience of residents by ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment.

Core Tasks:

  • Maintenance of a wide range of accommodation assets, including joinery, tiling, drainage, flooring, plastering, and minor roof repairs etc.
  • Working on both pre-planned and reactive repairs.
  • Ensuring high-quality services for clients and adhering to timescales and standards.
  • Solving technical issues and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards and documenting all tasks accurately.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Understanding of maintenance within facilities management or construction.
  • Good communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • IOSH - Working safely or CSCS Card
  • IT Skills - in the use of PDA's
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA)
  • CSR/CSCS H&S qualification

Job Package:

  • Salary: 27,500

  • Holiday: 25 days

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30. 30 minutes lunch break.
