In this role, you'll play a vital role in delivering transformative projects across the UK nuclear industry. You'll work on projects ranging from new nuclear power station design to developing fusion technologies and implementing advanced nuclear waste management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on challenging process safety-related project issues.
Supervise and guide the delivery of high-quality technical safety activities.
Assist on proposals and bids for future projects.
Participate in multidiscipline hazard workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).
Conduct consequence analysis to establish hazard severity.
Prepare DSEAR risk assessments.
Promote safety leadership and improve safety processes.
Ensure adherence to relevant good practice, legislation, and codes.
Requirements:
Proven experience in performing and supervising process safety activities.
Strong understanding of UK nuclear industry regulations and safety standards (COMAH, DSEAR, PE(S)R, ATEX, etc.).
Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
