Senior Systems Safety Engineer
Bristol
Paying up to 70,000 (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Use safety analysis skills across the full system lifecycle: from requirements analysis (including bids and contracting); through design, development; to system integration, acceptance testing, delivery and in-service support
- Undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
- Be required to complete safety requirements capture and management, hazard identification and analysis, hazard data management, application of the ALARP principle, creation/maintenance of safety documentation and continuous improvement of the safety management system.
- Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies
- Document and present the outcomes of safety analysis to stakeholders & Clients
Experience required:
- Experience across a number of safety engineering lifecycle phases
- An understanding of 'Safety and Systems Engineering' and of the 'Engineering Life Cycle Management'
- Experience having worked as a Safety engineer on defence projects ? Ideally Submarine related
- Must be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance
- Previous experience using MATLAB and Enterprise Architect
