We are recruiting for an Associate to join our Top 100 client's Tier 1 Employment team in Bristol. This is a full-time, flexible working opportunity and would best suit a qualified lawyer with 1-3 years' PQE. Fast paced, fast growing, and forward thinking, our client is the law firm that helps clients stay one step ahead, and they do the same for their people. They work with high-profile clients in innovative sectors. With local, national, and international reach, they have over 1,800 people in offices across the UK and a network of partner firms across Europe, India, and the US.

As a key addition to our client's growing team, you will have your own high-quality and varied caseload, working closely with the Partners and other team members on the following:

  • Employment tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
  • Helping employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring, and redundancies
  • Supporting clients with outsourcing contracts, contract drafting, and client training
  • Enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants
  • Drafting consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements, and other employment-related documentation

Our client is looking for:

  • A qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with at least 1 year PQE in employment law
  • A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercial awareness with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite for keeping up to date with the latest developments in your practise area and sector focus
  • An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our client's collaborative culture
