Juice Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a private healthcare company in need of Care assistants/support workers. We are seeking compassionate, flexible and driven individuals.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals, providing person-centred care and promoting their independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.
  • Assisting with food preparation, cooking, and supporting service users with feeding/eating.
  • Administering medication and collecting prescriptions.
  • Supporting individuals with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Offering companionship and sitting-in services.
  • Monitoring health and well-being, reporting any concerns regarding abuse, poor working conditions, or equipment issues.
  • Liaising with health and social care professionals, including GPs, physiotherapists, district nurses, occupational therapists, and ambulance services.
  • Supporting service users with organising outings and social activities, such as walks, trips to the shops and swimming.
  • Complying with company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Working flexibly, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as well as responding to crises and busy periods like the festive season.

About You:

  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and full-time access to a car.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is required.
  • Up-to-date DBS certification.
  • Ability to start immediately, with the flexibility to adapt to varying needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
