This is a great role to join a popular independent pub in a lovely village location on the outskirts of Bristol as General Manager. This independent pub is well established with lots of scope for future growth and an opportunity to really make your mark.

  • Starting salary c£35,000 - £38,0000 (depending on experience)
  • Performance related bonus / profit share OTE £45-50k
  • 40 hour pw contract

The Role

This General Manager role will enjoy a lot of autonomy to run all aspects of this food led pub with an opportunity to develop it further in the local community and as a destination venue.

A large site with bar, dining, huge garden with pizza oven and dedicated private event space this pub offers heaps of potential.

You will work closely with the Head Chef delivering good fresh food pub classics and attractive specials sourcing local sustainable suppliers. You will lead from the front and ensure you have a fully trained team to deliver a high level of customer service. You will provide the owner with timely operational and financial updates, using the available software to assist with this.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for this opportunity will need a good level of Pub or similar food business management experience. You will be confident in leading a team and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking environment. You will have a professional and commercial approach and manage the business to achieve targets and agreed margins.

You must have experience of running a cellar providing a range of real ales.

A personal license if required for this role.
