**Graduate Opportunity - Mental Health Experience - Psychology and Criminology**

We work with some fantastic SEN Schools in Bristol who are looking for recent Graduates (Psychology or Criminology would be great) to join their team and help support pupils facing mental health and emotional difficulties, as well as Trauma.

You will be working alongside specialist staff and teachers to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health challenges. Some of the pupils will have suffered adverse childhood experiences and trauma. You will play a key role in identifying their needs and triggers, and helping them to overcome the difficulties they face.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both in and outside the classroom. You will play a key role in providing consistency, developing trusted relationships with the students, and help them to feel safe, secure and empowered. You will also encourage the students to make positive decisions, reduce anti-social behaviours and increase academic performance through trauma-informed practices.

By engaging with the therapeutic and restorative practices delivered at the school, you will gain valuable first-hand experience needed to train as a Psychology, Therapist, Counsellor or Social Worker in the future. This position is open to individuals who are confident and bubbly, with a passion for helping vulnerable children, and a caring nature.

Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults would be beneficial, as well as a knowledge of Psychology of Criminology.
