Internal Recruiter

Set up in 2011, Synoptix is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the UK’s most capable suppliers of systems engineering expertise and know-how. We have built up an enviable customer base in defence and aerospace and are now seeking to extend our presence and influence in the rail and public utility sectors – all of which are showing a growing appetite for the type of rigorous system engineering we advocate.

We contribute to some of the foremost engineering projects in the UK, typically supporting large and complex engineering programmes through the application of systems engineering principles. Some of our key projects include support to various submarine programmes, adaptive camouflage for the British Army, Architectural support on Typhoon and F-35 platforms, cyber security support to EW systems. Our customers benefit from lean delivery of agile projects, utilising best practices developed across a range of industries.

The Role:

As an Internal Recruiter, you will work alongside our current team to identify, qualify and select suitable candidates within technical areas such as Systems Engineering, Cyber Security and Project Management. The Internal Recruiter will support the attraction of permanent and contract candidates through LinkedIn engagement, networking and posting job adverts. This would be an ideal role for someone early on in their recruitment career wanting to establish themselves in an SME.

Our Requirement:

We are looking for candidates with experience in identifying and qualifying quality candidates. Any experience in a technical field would be an advantage.

You must be organised, hardworking, and have good communication skills, with a collaborative mind-set and be open to new ideas and ways of working.

As an Internal Recruiter at Synoptix, you will have the following day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Identifying, qualifying and selecting suitable candidates, comprising:
    • Searching social media, onsite and online databases to source suitable CVs for technical requirements
    • Telephone interviewing candidates to find out key information
  • Submitting suitable candidates to hiring managers
  • Supporting internal resource meetings with key stakeholders
  • Arranging face to face interviews for successful candidates
  • Generating placement documentation on Applicant Tracking System
  • Updating requirement and candidate records on Applicant Tracking System
  • Generating clear and concise adverts for technical requirements
  • Troubleshooting day-to-day recruitment issues
  • Escalating issues to the correct department as required

Key Skills:

  • Use of LinkedIn (Recruiter is preferred)
  • Boolean searching on CV databases
  • Offer negotiation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing stakeholder needs
