We are seeking experienced Configuration Management Support for a mechanical engineering client based in Bristol. This hybrid role requires the successful candidate to work in the office three days per week.
The Configuration Management Support will play a crucial role in both ongoing and future development programs, focusing on a range of configuration management (CM) tasks, including:
- Diagnosing technical challenges and implementing effective solutions.
- Identify areas for improvement and assist in developing work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines.
- Contributing to the formulation of technical solutions that meet customer specifications, including input for bids and proposals related to assigned programs and projects.
- Serving as the configuration management support for the CM team on designated programs.
- Facilitating and overseeing Change Control Boards (CCBs).
- Processing Engineering Coordination Memos (ECMs).
- Developing and maintaining configuration management plans for assigned programs.
- Managing product data within the GKN PLM system.
- Supporting or creating test specifications and plans, or alternate means of compliance (such as analysis or similarity), to ensure that design solutions meet certification standards.
- Aiding in technical and customer reviews, encompassing formal gate reviews, along with the creation and presentation of technical documentation related to product design.
- Assisting with the release of engineering design data and customer-related data.
