Employer Description:

PC Dial provide a wide range of I.T. support to Small Business’s from helpdesk to installing network infrastructure and computer Hardware repairs. PC Dial are Google, Microsoft, Withsecure, Kaseya Datto and Epson partners.

Main Role / Responsibilities:

  • Taking calls on helpdesk
  • Hardware repairs
  • Sourcing and ordering hardware
  • Maintaining designated client’s systems making sure systems are up to date
  • Monitoring security software and backups.

Desirable Skills:

  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Keen interest in technology.
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and Google G-Suite but not essential.

Personal Qualities: 

  • Must enjoy communicating with people
  • Be able to work under own initiative and as part of the team.
  • A Commitment to learn new skills and pass that information on to other members of the team.
  • Not afraid to ask if they need help or are unsure.

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
