Scope

This is a great opportunity, joining our existing project teams working and supporting our Landing Gear work packages. You will work with a consultative approach while building strong relationships with our customers as a team, communicating with stakeholders at a variety of seniority levels and provide a high standard of System Engineering.

All our consultants are adaptable and open to work across multiple sectors while being part of the team here at Akkodis.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation of design solutions to meet current and future programme requirements, assessment of proposed design performance/risk and the selection of optimal solutions from both a technical and project/programme perspective
  • Supporting LGS integration through maturation of system/sub-system interface documents
  • Landing Gear system/sub-system Qualification and Certification (Q&C) activities to deliver future MAS and in-service modifications/repairs, including Qualification planning, oversight and evaluation of evidence
  • System and sub-system-level requirements management and generation of system/sub-system-level specifications for the Main and Nose Gear, Wheel, Tyre and Brake as required by the programme.


Required skills

  • A basic awareness of Aircraft and Aircraft System Qualification and Certification.
  • Process optimisation and organisational skills
  • Planning and reporting experience
  • Development and study of different Landing gear systems.
  • Verification & Validation.
  • Experience in the use of one or more of the following design, or modelling/simulation or requirements capture applications would be advantageous: Catia V5, MSC ADAMS, MATLAB, Simulink or IBM DOORS.
