Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain system models for complex aerospace and defence systems using MBSE methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and analyse system requirements, ensuring models reflect accurate system behaviour and design.
- Use SysML, UML, and other MBSE tools to support system architecture and design decisions.
- Perform system analysis and simulation to support decision-making and ensure systems meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
- Contribute to the development of verification and validation strategies to ensure systems meet all specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the broader engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices in MBSE and system engineering.
- Participate in reviews, risk management, and technical documentation processes to support project milestones.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools, including SysML, UML, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience in the aerospace, defence or similar highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles, lifecycle management and requirements traceability.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on system-level thinking.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working across teams and disciplines.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with MBSE tools like Cameo, Enterprise Architect or IBM Rational Rhapsody.
- Knowledge of simulation and modelling techniques for system analysis and performance evaluation.
