Systems Engineer (IVV)

Location – Filton, Barrow, Manchester or Coventry

Hybrid 2-3 days per week on site

Rate - £63.76 Umbrella / £48.32 PAYE + Holiday Pay (£55.35 ph)

Duration: 6 Months

SC Clearance required

This role is a Coherency based position to support a multi-function team of engineers support the system design function for whole boat.

  • Make sure the systems design and interface are compatible with the boat design in terms of requirements management and requirements modelling in enterprise architect
  • Making sure documents are being done in a consistent way - Working with individual engineers to check this is being done
  • Making sure interfaces and modelling is done consistently reviewing models helping to do the models good understanding of model based design and tools like EA and having working with interface requirements list
  • Ensuring technical requirements that go out to suppliers are consistent with the design and in line with the V&V plans
  • You will be involved In the v&v strategy – how do we do electrical modelling? And test, what facilities do we need etc

Key Skillset

  • Extensive background in systems engineering, with a focus on requirements development, systems integration, and technical leadership.
  • Knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and EA modelling for structured representation of system elements.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, particularly in requirements development, V&V planning, and interface control.
  • Strong background in electrical power systems design, operational scenario development, and standards is desirable but not essential
