About the job:
Our client currently requires a Systems Engineer to work in a multidisciplinary team across the whole weapon systems engineering / project lifecycle. The Systems Engineering team works for the Chief Systems Engineer working to capture and refine customer and systems requirements, identify, analyse and assess potential solutions, to document the weapon system design and to manage the delivery, integration and certification of those designs to time, cost and quality.
With an in-service capability to support and capability enhancements to deliver, across a number of customers, this team is a great place to build breadth of experience or to put your existing skills and experience to use to deliver military capability.
About you:
As a Systems Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- A strong understanding of the system engineering process.
- Proven experience in product / systems delivery and hardware and software configuration management.
- Comfortable adapting themselves and their approach to the challenge at hand; they will maintain vision amongst complexity and be adept at communicating this vision to drive, engage and influence partners.
- Proactive approach, eagerness to learn new tools and processes, and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player approach and positive collaborative behaviours.
- Prior experience in the Defence domain (Desirable).
