Salary: Up to 65K per annum (Senior Level)

Role Overview:
Infinity is looking for a talented Systems Safety Engineer to join their team, focusing on critical defence and avionics projects. In this role, you will work alongside prime defence contractors and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to ensure the safety and compliance of systems within high-stakes environments. You will be responsible for preparing system definitions, safety plans, and applying rigorous safety protocols to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on defence and avionics projects, primarily for prime contractors and MoD.
- Prepare system definitions, safety plans, and ensure the application of safety protocols.
- Perform fault tree analysis to assess potential risks and identify mitigation strategies.
- Review design changes and ensure they meet safety standards and requirements.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, ensuring all technical and regulatory standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive safety best practices.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Safety Systems Engineer, ideally within the defence or avionics sectors.
- Strong background in fault tree analysis.
- Knowledge of weapons systems and associated safety protocols.
- Familiarity with ARP 4761 (Aerospace Recommended Practice for Safety Assessment).
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Ability to prepare, maintain, and review comprehensive safety documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and address safety concerns.
Desirable Skills:
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
