A leading business in the heart of Bristol are going through a Digital transformation and looking for a highly skilled Senior Windows Server professional to join the team.

As part of the Digital transformation, the business have created a new Windows server team and are looking for a Manager/Team Lead to head up the function.

This is a hands-on leadership role which will require extensive experience managing Windows Server environments in large organizations and a strong technical background in supporting various Windows Services.

Windows Server Team Lead key responsibilities and technical experience needed:

  • Lead and manage the Windows Server team to ensure the smooth operation of our server environments.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of Windows Server and its derivatives.
  • Provide expert support for Windows Services such as DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Utilize WSUS, SCCM, or Intune for the configuration and management of Windows server environments.
  • Ensure high availability of Windows servers through clustering and always-on features.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and management tasks.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
