IT Manager Opportunity at Talentia Group - £45,000 Starting Salary

Starting January 2025 | Location: Flexible, with office access as needed

Are you a tech-savvy professional with a passion for IT infrastructure, security, and hands-on hardware management? Talentia Group is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Manager to take charge of our IT functions and support our ambitious growth.

In this role, you'll oversee a broad range of IT responsibilities, from hardware and infrastructure management to risk assessment and strategic improvement. This position is a great fit for someone with a technical foundation in hardware, Microsoft 365, and VOIP systems, and a proactive attitude toward IT innovation and efficiency. If you have experience with troubleshooting (including email issues such as IMAP, DKIM, DNS) and an understanding of network security, that's even better! Previous management experience is not essential, but a strong drive to take ownership and lead IT initiatives is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure & Hardware Management: Oversee setup, distribution, and maintenance of IT hardware (phones, laptops, mobile devices, monitors). Track and organize all hardware and software assets and manage new hardware purchases as needed.

  • Network & Security Administration: Implement network security measures, data backup, and recovery processes to ensure data security and business continuity. Manage critical IT infrastructure, including servers, security tools, email systems, and laptops.

  • Vendor & Cost Management: Maintain strong relationships with IT vendors to optimize costs and ensure best value. Collaborate with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to resolve software issues.

  • Risk Management & Emergency Planning: Conduct regular risk assessments and develop emergency response plans to address potential security or equipment issues.

  • User Support & Training: Provide training and ongoing support for new and existing technology users. Handle business-critical IT tasks, including system administration and troubleshooting.

  • Research & Development: Stay informed on emerging tech, exploring tools that enhance productivity and security. Lead projects to implement new technology aligned with business initiatives.

  • Strategic Improvement & Collaboration: Work closely with our Operations Director on IT-related projects and identify areas for enhancement within our IT functions.

What We're Looking For: We welcome applicants with varied backgrounds who demonstrate technical expertise in hardware, Microsoft 365, and VOIP systems. Experience within an MSP environment or with email troubleshooting (IMAP, DKIM, DNS) is beneficial but not required. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a management role and drive IT excellence for a growing company.

Essential Requirement: Valid Driving Licence

Why Talentia Group? We're a B-Corp certified company that's committed to our people, our community, and our environment. As part of our team, you'll work in a positive, supportive environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
