R&D, Security Architecture, Prototyping, Technology, 18 Months FTC

This 18 month fixed term contract (FTC) role is available for an AI Security Researcher. The role is based at research offices in Bristol with parking onsite and close to public transport links.

The research team work on hardware / software security. Whilst this is for industrial / commercial applications, they are a research group and hence have a quasi-academic feel (the role would therefore suit someone in industrial research or a PhD / postdoc). Projects centre on developing new concepts and innovations. As an AI Security Researcher, you will work collaboratively with other security technologists on computer security and system software. This includes engineering, architecture and prototype building. Further, successful developments need good communications so the wider company is informed and can look to best utilise these innovations.

Requirements:
-    Degree in computer science, followed by a PhD in a relevant project area (around computer security). Postdoc experience would be beneficial. (Master’s graduates with commensurable industry experience will also be considered).
-    Demonstrable project experience using machine learning solution architecture and ideally use of machine learning for security risks.
-    Exposure to software engineering practices within an industrial context.
-    Strong communication skills.

Further experience with firmware, system software architecture and broader hypervisor technologies would be desirable.

Due to the nature of projects, the role is fully onsite at their Bristol offices. There may be opportunities to travel to other research labs in the US. On offer is an excellent compensation package including benefits.

No company sponsorship is available. You must have full rights to work in the UK for the entirety of the FTC. Applicants from underrepresented groups in the technology sector are encouraged to apply.
