ITS Resourcing are working on behalf of a fast growing IT services company, who are looking to recruit a Technical Consultant to join their consultancy team. The role will be working predominately remote, with the occasional client site visits where required and a day per week in their Gloucestershire offices. As a Technical Consultant you will deliver strategic consultancy services to clients that improve their business and promote the use of hybrid cloud, modern workplace and security technologies.
You will work in collaboration with the Technical Architecture and Project Management teams to deliver solutions to clients aligned to the project scope and design specifications, adhering to industry best practices. The role involves the technical implementation, configuration, and migration activities as per the defined design documentation to new and existing clients. They are seeking an ambitious & highly motivated individual, that will form a key part of their consultancy team and continue to grow with the business.
Further responsibilities within the role will include;
- Implement technical solutions and projects in line with the deliverables detailed within the Project Scope, and to the specifications detailed in the Low-Level Design document.
- To perform full functional testing of all solutions delivered.
- To ensure that all solutions within the project are delivered as per industry best practices and vendor architecture principles.
- To document all solutions delivered accurately.
- To perform thorough handovers of all solutions delivered to clients.
- To assist with transitioning the solution to Commercials Network Operation Centre as part of the run operations.
- To deliver strategic consultancy to clients.
- To perform chargeable discovery assessments and audits as and when required
- To assist with Technical Architecture as and when required
- To regularly contribute to thought leadership posts and collateral.
- Optional - to provide out of hours technical support on-call service, great opportunity to earn additional salary.
Experience required:
- Hands on implementation and project delivery experience within;
- Virtualisation technologies (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Datacentre Compute solutions & Storage solutions
- HPE and Aruba technology stack
- Corporate wireless solutions
- Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Microsoft Azure Cloud & 365 Modern Workplace
- Azure Virtual Desktop / Citrix DaaS
- Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM
- Microsoft Exchange on-premises / DAG
- Experience working with the MSP / IT Services industry, being able to delivery to multiple customer requirements over a given period.
- Experience in a implementation and delivery capacity, working with the relevant teams members to delivery complex solutions.
- It would be desirable to have relevant certifications equivalent to Microsoft AZ-104 / AZ-140 / MS-102 / MD-102, HPE ASE, Aruba ACMA and Fortinet Certified Professional.
