World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Simulation and Modelling Lead Controller subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The role can be based from either the companies Stevenage or Bristol site, depending on your preference.
This role would suit a candidate with a strong Simulation and Modelling background (Matlab / Simulink), ideally from the Defence or Aerospace industry but other industries are fine.
Job Title: Simulation and Modelling Lead
Rate: 75.00 per hour
Location: Stevenage or Bristol site, depending on your preference
Hybrid / Remote working: 4 days per week onsite
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'
Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
Simulation and Modelling Lead Job Description:
The department are looking for Modelling Engineers to join the delivery team undertaking simulation, modelling and validation activities. Their work covers simulation and modelling of the entire RF Seeker chain from radar propagation, hardware response, to the embedded software algorithms on-board the Seeker. These algorithms are developed in and auto-coded directly from our models, allowing them to rapidly test, iterate, and deliver sophisticated defence capability.
Essential experience:
* Modelling and coding
* Algorithm development
* Data analysis
* Simulation validation experience
* Technical report writing
Desirable experience:
* Proficiency in MATLAB and development of models in Simulink
* Model verification and validation, configuration control and model release processes
* Continuous Integration and Testing
* Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing
* Project/budget/risk management experience
