Senior IT Support Engineer - Bristol - 40,000 - 50,000 + bonus + private healthcare
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join a growing software house in central Bristol to ensure the availability and reliability of the companies internal services.
It is a hands-on role with line management responsibility for one IT Support Technician, and would suit someone currently in a Desktop Support / IT Manager / Infrastructure Engineer role, who has prior management / mentoring experience.
The role will be mainly office based, so it would need to be someone local to Bristol - a driving license would also be required as they have a second, smaller office in Gloucestershire (travel there would be infrequent - once every week or two).
The ideal candidate would tick the following boxes:
- Experience in an internal support / IT Manager role for an SME
- Hands-on experience providing Office365 support
- Networking (firewalls, switches etc.) knowledge
- Familiar with Windows Server 2022
- Experience of vendor management / contract negotiations etc.
- Mentoring or management experience
- Microsoft certifications
- A driving license and happy to be office based
This will be a varied role and responsibilities will include the following:
- Providing technical support (up to 3rd line) & managing tickets
- Vendor management & sourcing equipment
- Endpoint security
- Disaster recovery
- Onboarding/offboarding
- Line management of a Support Technician
