Our client, a leading force in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The role focuses on delivering groundbreaking advancements in composite technologies through a variety of large-scale programmes.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and evaluating quality control processes, implementing continuous improvement and manufacturing governance.
  • Analysing and reporting on manufacturing processes, including cycle time, reliability, repeatability, accuracy, and downtime.
  • Leading and implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives and root cause analysis activities.
  • Delivering and leading research projects from a manufacturing perspective.
  • Leading New Product Introduction processes and principles.
  • Assessing risks and improving manufacturing processes with a strategic overview.
  • Applying innovative approaches to evaluate and develop technical solutions.
  • Implementing new processes, procedures, and methods to manufacture new components.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in leading and managing manufacturing processes.
  • Proven background in manufacturing or production engineering.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering tools and best practices.
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes (beneficial).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to optimising manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to follow a product from creation to delivery.
