Your new companyBS1 based businessYour new roleYou will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations and Finance teams in producing accurate and timely reports and information.

  • Match clients' premium payments and underwriters' payments on the ledger.
  • Run and circulate the Aged Debt Report.
  • Manage assigned accounts, discuss issues with underwriters, and flag concerns in internal credit control meetings.
  • Send regular statement chasers to insurers/brokers and resolve queries.
  • Prepare and issue broker commission statements.
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies with assistance from other departments.
  • Raise and issue deductibles.
  • Post journals on Sun and validate banking details.
  • Assist with various month-end reconciliation.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider Finance team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience with Credit Control duties, including high volume journal posting and cash allocation on accounting software.
  • Excellent grasp of Business Maths and English.
  • IT literate with strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Good understanding of how debits and credits work.
