We are looking for a Senior Legal Cashier to be involved in senior practice management tasks such as the below:

  • Complete knowledge of SRA rules
  • Senior responsibility in overlooking company financial matters
  • Performing online banking transactions both in and from the UK and Internationally as well as daily bank reconciliations
  • Overlooking payments and invoices - recording transactions and managing accounts
  • Responsible for paper or electronic billing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, maintaining bill related documents, calculate, prepare and submit bills accurately
  • Recording and checking all data on the computerised client ledgers
  • Completing the quarterly VAT returns online
  • Providing monthly and yearly accounts. Working closely with the Accountants when the yearly audit is completed
  • Collating information for the Indemnity Policy, Quality Conveyancing Scheme Application and all other required documents
  • Arranging finance when required
  • Checking and agreeing contents of insurance policies

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be really experienced in all Solicitors Accounts Rules in theory and in practice. Not just bookkeeping inputting to ledgers but management accounting running finances (SME sized firm) reporting to Managing Partner direct with absolute confidentiality
  • You must be dedicated and passionate about working in this field
