Role: Commercial Insurance Account Executive

Location: Bristol, BS32

Salary: £40 - 60,000 pa DOE plus car allowance, bonus and competitive benefits

We’re currently working with a longstanding client; a growing Chartered Insurance Broker looking to recruit an experienced Insurance Account Executive for their Commercial product team within Bristol. As Account Executive you take on client facing responsibilities for existing customers and new prospects, building trusted relationships that drive growth and proactively create new business opportunities.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Regularly review existing client needs and to be able to recognise areas of under insurance / gaps in cover, and to offer solutions in these areas.
  • Support strategic profitable growth by managing a portfolio of Corporate-level clients and develop long-term trusted advisor relationships
  • Dealing with clients and insurers to deliver an account management service in accordance with the company’s service level agreements whilst adhering to renewal timetables and procedures.
  • Present new business presentations and renewal reports to existing and prospective clients
  • Utilise the company’s in-house claims service in the development of new and existing business
  • Act as a liaison between client and the claims team to ensure significant claims are managed in accordance with the company’s service level agreements
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes within the industry

Skills and experience required:

· Cert CII is essential, ideally working towards Diploma level

  • Technical knowledge in the Financial Services market and insurer products, to include core range of policies, operating structures and regulatory processes
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with the ability to build and manage internal and external relationships
  • To be a problem solver with good analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the company processes and company business goals
  • Target driven, highly motivated and a self-starter
  • To recognise the importance of self-development, and to ensure all learning and development modules are up to date
  • IT Skills required include the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and previous experience of Acturis desired
