Engineering Storeman

- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 – 16:00, Friday 7:30 – 12:30
- £27-28k per year
If you have experience in a stores environment dealing with engineering products then this could be ideal for you. This would ideally suit someone who has experience working for a manufacturing company with a good understanding of relevant quality processes and standards.
This role will support our business operations, ensuring that our company stores and dispatch areas function efficiently and effectively.
This role also includes covering driving duties in a 7.5-ton lorry or van during the full-time driver’s holidays.
Day to Day of the role:
- Accepting deliveries and completing booking transactions in accordance with procedures.
- Maintaining stock location movements and accuracy.
- Maintaining procedures to enable a continuing compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
- Picking raw materials and internal kits from prioritised job order listings to support production areas.
- Packing goods for dispatch for both retail and export trade.
- Collaborating with line-management to optimise efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Conducting stock checks, reconciliation, and reporting in line with company requirements.
- Supporting team members in process problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements in line with ISO45001.
- Ordering and maintaining consumable stock levels.
- Covering driving duties from Fishponds to Bath when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a stores environment associated with engineering products.
- Good working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Experience in a process-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy and strong communication skills.
- Clean driving license.
- Forklift experience/license, ideally with Counterbalance, Reach, and Bendi.
- CPC qualified and holds a 7.5-ton license.
