Stock Control & Buying Coordinator – Meat Industry

Location: Bristol
 

Are you an experienced Stock Controller with Buying experience and knowledge of the meat industry? Join this team in Bristol and play a pivotal role in managing inventory, sourcing products, and negotiating prices to meet customer demands and drive business growth.

Salary: £30,000 + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role:

As a Stock Controller/Buyer, you will:

  • Actively source meat products to satisfy customer requirements and negotiate competitive prices.
  • Manage supplier relationships to deliver value and identify promotional opportunities.
  • Create and maintain price lists and provide key market insights during sales meetings.
  • Oversee inventory control to match customer demand, monitor stock dates, and manage clearance lines to reduce losses.
  • Process purchase orders, maintain stock records, and monitor product storage conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and good hygiene practices in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Proven experience in inventory management, sourcing, and negotiation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
