As kitchen porter you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of organisation and cleanliness in our small service kitchen or large production kitchen. There will be opportunities to develop further skills and assist our service or production team when called upon. This is a perfect role for someone looking to gain work experience and develop an understanding of high quality food in a busy hospitality cafè and catering business.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the kitchen porter area ensuring all items are thoroughly washed and cleaned in a timely manner. Good organisational skills and clear communication is imperative to the management of this section.
• Responsible for maintaining daily and weekly cleaning tasks within the kitchen.
• Assisting the kitchen team with basic food preparation and assisting on service or in production when necessary.

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the café.
• Responsible for stock management and wastage recording.
• Completion of daily paperwork including cleaning checklists and Food Safety books.
