Excellent opportunity to join a well established data science department at a leading financial services business. The department operate a bit like an internal consultancy and rotate between different departments, supporting the end to end development of machine learning & data science products for the business.What you’ll be doingAs a Senior Data Scientist you’ll be assigned a business unit and will get to know their processes and challenges deeply. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders to understand their needs and then formulate ML driven solutions. You’ll work from ideation through to deployment and will have a good degree of autonomy in terms of the solutions you’ll provide. You’ll rotate into different business units after a period of time, so you can keep your work varied and get to know other areas in the business. Working in a very established and mature function, you’ll have the support of exceptional leaders who will guide your development and help you with your success. This is also a unique role as the team have a joint venture research side with a leading UK university, so you’ll also get to work on innovation projects in conjunction with MSc & PhD students.What experience you’ll need to apply
  • A degree in a data-focused field like Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science or a solid STEM background.
  • Excellent Python coding skills.
  • Experience working in a financial services business or other enterprise size business is a preference.
  • Proven expertise in developing and deploying end-to-end Machine Learning models for business challenges.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration across diverse technical levels.
