Our client, who are an integrated delivery partner for EDF, are seeking a number of Civil Engineers who can provide technical expertise to support the technical design and delivery of construction deliverables for the buildings of Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C Projects. The successful role holder will have a working knowledge of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering. Key responsibilities will be:
- Producing building specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes
- Responsibility of raising, following up of building specific technical open points as a first point of contact for the L3 civil designer
- Supporting the civil building lead for the resolution of transverse/complex technical open points and contract engineering lead in coordination with L3 civil designer and other stakeholders for producing the design
- Coordinating and carrying out the resolution of building specific technical topics and tracks the evolution of these activities in their scope of activity
- Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to program and reviewing technical proposals for variations
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in civil engineering
- Civil engineering design office experience (variable depending on the level of the service required), particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures
- Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous
- Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and the design and detailing of reinforced concrete
- Understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
