Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and managing infrastructure projects, with a focus on drainage and highways
  • Overseeing the adoption processes for roads and drainage, including S278, S38, and S104 agreements
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery within stipulated timelines and budgets
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports and ensuring compliance with national design standards and best practice
  • Mentoring junior members of staff and providing technical guidance
  • Utilising software packages such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Vehicle Tracking, KeyLINES/SIGN/POST, and Flow
  • Maintaining strong communication and organisational skills to manage records and project documentation


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of national design standards and best practice (i.e. DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN1/20, NRSWA etc)
  • Understanding of adoption agreements for roads and drainage (S278, S38 & S104)
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages (AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Vehicle Tracking, KeyLINES/SIGN/POST and Flow)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage tasks to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and produce technical reports
  • Understanding of the legal requirements related to highway and drainage adoption processes
