Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a planning and architecture consultancy in Bristol who are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic team in Bristol. The Role:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of planning applications and appeals, from residential and commercial developments to mixed-use schemes. You'll work closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing planning applications, appeals, and planning policy submissions.
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Developing planning strategies and preparing high-quality reports, statements, and documents.
  • Engaging with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to secure planning consents.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team.
  • Assisting in business development activities and helping to grow the company's presence in the region.

What We're Looking For:

  • RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
  • A track record of successfully delivering planning approvals across a range of sectors.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A proactive approach and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Full UK driving licence.
