Our client, a prestigious multidisciplinary consultancy, is currently seeking a motivated Town Planner to join their dynamic team in the bustling city of Bristol. With a minimum of 18 months experience in the public or private sector, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and collaborate with experts across various disciplines.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Planning Applications: Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and other planning documents, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.
·Client Liaison: Build strong relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
·Site Appraisals: Conduct site appraisals, assessments, and feasibility studies to inform development proposals and strategic planning initiatives.
·Policy Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance on planning policy, regulations, and procedures to clients and colleagues, contributing to the development of planning strategies and solutions.
·Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues from various disciplines, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to deliver integrated planning solutions.
 
Requirements:
·Minimum of 18 months' experience in a planning role within the public or private sector.
·Relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
·Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
·Full or Associate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) desirable but not essential.
