Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the leading Bristol Planning Consultancies in their hire of an ambitious and experienced Town Planner to their dynamic team!

The current team provide a full spectrum of planning services to both private and public sector clients, working in a range of sectors including residential, commercial, retail, healthcare, energy, education, and leisure for both national and local clients.

Duties Of The Role

  • Assist the team in delivering a variety of projects, providing support with advice, planning applications, and appeals.
  • Conduct research and analysis of planning policies.
  • Develop planning appraisals and strategy reports.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications.
  • Monitor and negotiate applications after submission, including attending relevant meetings.
  • Prepare and manage planning appeals.
  • Contribute to representations on emerging planning policies and local plans.

Candidate Requirements

  • RTPI accredited degree and working towards MRTPI Chartership.
  • Have an understanding of the planning systems across the UK.
  • A highly motivated commercial approach, with ability to work as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
