Town Planner - Full-time & Part-time OptionsLocation: Bristol (Hybrid Working)

Penguin Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading Bristol-based Planning Consultancy to help them find a motivated and experienced Town Planner to join their vibrant team!

The consultancy delivers a comprehensive range of planning services to both private and public sector clients. They work across various sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, healthcare, energy, education, and leisure, catering to both local and national clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in delivering a wide variety of projects, providing support with planning applications, advice, and appeals.
  • Conduct research and analysis of planning policies.
  • Develop strategic reports and planning appraisals.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications.
  • Monitor and negotiate applications post-submission, including attending relevant meetings.
  • Prepare and manage planning appeals.
  • Contribute to representations on emerging policies and local plans.

What We're Looking For:

  • An RTPI-accredited degree with progress toward MRTPI Chartership.
  • Knowledge of planning systems across the UK.
  • A proactive, commercially-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
