We are currently seeking an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join our client's highly rated and award-winning team. With over 70 corporate lawyers, our client has extensive experience advising a diverse range of businesses, including entrepreneurs, SMEs, financial institutions, and FTSE 100 companies. Operating across 13 UK locations, our client's team provides expert guidance on various corporate matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, joint ventures, corporate governance, and more.

Based in Bristol, our client's Corporate team is experiencing an exciting period of growth. Led by a recommended lawyer in The Legal 500 (2025 edition) and a leading individual in Chambers and Partners (2025 edition), the team combines top-level national expertise with an international reach. This unique blend allows them to serve both local and international clients effectively.

About the Role:

Our client is currently looking for an ambitious individual to join their Bristol Corporate team. Candidates with 3+ years of post-qualified experience are encouraged to apply, although those with more experience will also be considered. In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholders agreements, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and private equity. Collaboration is key within the team, and you will be expected to contribute as a team player. Our client also actively supports the networking and client relationship development of their lawyers, providing you with opportunities to progress your career.

Some of their notable work:

  • Leading a team of more than 60 lawyers which supported the in-house legal team at Lafarge Tarmac on the sale to CRH plc, one of the world's largest building materials suppliers. This was as part of a €6.5 billion worldwide acquisition of assets being sold by Lafarge SA and Holcim Limited to facilitate their global merger.
  • Advising Travis Perkins PLC on various acquisitions, investments and disposals.
  • Leading the high profile multi-million pound buyout of Funeral Partners and continuing to undertake all of their acquisition work.
  • Acting on the sale of Heritage Automotive Limited, a 12 site franchised car dealership representing Audi, Peugeot, Skoda and Volkswagen and operating across the South West.
  • Acted for the founder shareholder David Shelton on the £200 million IPO (Initial Public Offering) of Motorpoint.
  • Advised LNT Group on the £100 million+ sale of 24 care homes to Anchor Trust.

  • Provide an exemplary level of client service and care.
  • Demonstrate competent financial management and commercial awareness.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to retain existing clients and develop new relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise.
  • Take accountability for your personal development and continuously develop interpersonal and soft skills.
  • Adhere to the SRA competence standards.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Directly relevant previous extensive experience with the correct level of post-qualified experience (PQE) for the role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry and business of their clients.
  • Ability to independently manage your own case load with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of competent financial management, meeting client expectations, and sound case management skills.
  • Proficient in IT skills, including case management systems, electronic time recording, and general Microsoft packages.
  • Self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Consistent demonstration and embodiment of our client's values.
