We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Employment Law to join our clients dynamic legal team. As the Head of Employment Law, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our clients team of employment lawyers while providing expert guidance and support to clients.

Position summary:

As the Head of Employment Law, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall performance and management of the employment law department. You will have extensive experience in employment law and possess strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead a team while ensuring that the highest level of service is provided to our clients.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the employment law department, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.

- Develop and implement budget management plans for the department.

- Facilitate business planning and ensure departmental goals and objectives align with the overall business strategy.

- Conduct regular business review meetings to evaluate the performance of the department and identify areas for improvement.

- Oversee case management and ensure that all cases are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

- Maintain a high level of client care and act as a point of contact for any complex or escalated issues.

- Supervise and provide guidance to the employment law team, fostering a positive working environment.

- Develop and implement business development strategies to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones.

- Monitor and approve billing for the department to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and guidelines.

- Provide training and professional development opportunities for the employment law team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement new technologies and processes to enhance the department's efficiency.

- Oversee client indebtedness and work with the finance team to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in employment law.

- Prior experience in a leadership or management role is required.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven track record in business development and client management.

- Experience in budget management and business planning.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team.

- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to implement new processes and technologies.

- Proficiency in using technology for case management and billing.
